Jon commented to James Squire Pilsener:
I have read many of your beer reviews on this site and I’ve come to the conclusion that none of you actually enjoy beer. The question then should be asked, why are you tasting beer? It seems that you don’t like any of the beers you’ve tried.
Take this particular beer for example. JS’s Pilsener is probably one of the best Australian produced Pilsener there is, and that’s not just my personal opinion, but an opinion shared by many people in the field of Micro-brewing.
I know that you guys and girls are having a bit of fun and I might be a little too serious, but take it from someone who is a member of a beer tasting group who have tried over 350 beers from all over the world, beer tasting is a serious business.
If you don’t like a particular beer (or in your case, all beer) just say so, there is no need to make comments like “smells like dog pee” that in effect is insulting the man who put the time and effort into creating what some people might just think is the best beer they’ve ever had.
