    I worked there while the first vintage was being developed and the first few batches were produced. I can tell you that the first year, 1998 Vintage was a filtered lager beer and best drunk within 6 months regardless of what the bottle says. Now it would be oxidised/infected and undrinkable. The next year we produced it as a secondary fermented beer so it will change its flavour characteristics over time and keep well but in my opinion its best drunk up to two years. That is unless you like low bitterness, caramelized, papery (read-stale) beer. Freshly drunk, its a great drop and I love the balance between the higher alcohol and higher bitterness with the aromatic hops. May I also remind people that it is Illegal to sell alcohol unless you are licensed to do so….
