you people have no idea how to taste a beer. not all beers are supposed to be bitter. rating a beer that is not trying to overpower you with bitterness poorly because it’s not bitter is senseless. obviously, a pilsner or a lager is not trying to accomplish the same thing as a stout or a porter. separate your beers into types before you judge them, then we’ll talk. also, the criteria you use to “taste” beer favors beers with impurities that actually mask the true taste of the beer. for example, telling people that the head should stay on the glass as you drink it - for some types of beer, this just won’t happen. more often than not, traces of head on the inside of the glass as you drink is a sign of impurities present in the beer. your system does not judge quality, but instead someone’s deluded notion of what beer “should” be. and oh yeah, rating miller over budweiser - do you not HAVE tastebuds? you people have no idea what you’re talking about. miller is chock full of impurities that you can taste almost before the beer touches your lips, while budweiser is one of the cleanest, purest beers in the world. if you can’t taste the impurities in miller, you have no business calling yourselves beer experts, or even beer tasters. you people have no idea how to actually taste and judge a beer.
