About the tasters/testers

testers/tasters

As you will see from this site, our tasters often disagree when it comes to rating beer - we have at least one hard-nosed beer critic, while some of our other tasters are more easily pleased. The one thing that unites all of our tasters, however, is a genuine love of beer and the art of beer tasting.

Please note that the photographs of the tasters shown on each beer review page are from the actual beer tasting in which each beer was reviewed, but they do not always correspond to the reviewed beer! We thought it’d be more interesting to show matching (and often entertaining) facial expressions. So don’t be surprised if you find a review of a dark ale but the tasters appear to be holding up glasses of different coloured beer!

To date, our intrepid team of beer tasters has sampled 61 beers - all in the name of research, of course! We plan on holding many more beer tasting events in the future, and we’ll be sure to share our opinions with the beer-drinking community for debate and discussion.

We hope you have as much fun browsing this site as we had making it. Drop us a line and let us know how we’re doing!
