Beer test results for Tooheys Old
In a blind test, our beer tasters came to the following conclusions:

Dark, almost chocolate coloured beer, similar in colour to Coca-Cola. |
| Aroma/Bouquet: |
High intensity, roasted/toasted aroma with a hint of chocolate and licorice. |
| Taste: |
Full-bodied, creamy beer with chocolate toasted/roasted taste, good bitterness. |
| Summary: |
Average. |
In a blind test of Tooheys Old, our tasters commented:
“Despite the slight taste of burned ash, it’s nice.”
“Someone overcooked this beer!”
“Interesting, unusual.”
“I don’t like the roasted taste.”
“It has an ash taste and is very dark. Is this Guinness?”

I agree with Rodrick, for a dark beer this is very watery and lacks flavour. You’d only find this interesting if you’ve not had a good dark ale.
