Steps involved in a beer tasting

1. Prepare multiple copies of the beer tasting score cards for the beer tasters to use in assessing the beer.
2. Have the beer servers serve beer to the beer tasters.
3. Have the tasters taste the beer. The basic steps for tasting any beer are as follows:

• Look at the beer in the glass, and score its appearance.
• Smell the beer in the glass, and rate its bouquet.
• Swallow the beer from the glass, and rate its flavour and mouthfeel.
• Wait a moment, then score your overall impression of the beer.

Repeat steps 2 & 3 until all beers are tasted.
